Aleksandra Hernik

Aleksandra Hernik was born in Cieszyn, Poland. She obtained a Master’s in Applied Physics and a Bachelor of Engineering in Photonics at the Warsaw University of Technology. Aleksandra is currently involved in a joint doctorate under the SENNET project, developing holographic sensor arrays for VOCs detection at Technological University Dublin under the supervision of Prof. Izabela Naydenova. As her secondment, she will investigate MOF-based materials at KU Leuven under the supervision of Prof. Rob Ameloot. In her free time, Aleksandra enjoys cultural activities – especially reading good books – and taking long walks, often exploring new places. She is also a paraglider.
