Iago Maye was born and raised in Belgium. He obtained a Master’s degree in chemistry from the university of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCLouvain) and is now pursuing a joint doctorate, in the context of the SENNET project, at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) in Erlangen-Nürnberg Germany under the supervision of Prof. Matthias Thommes and under the secondary supervision of Prof. Svetlana Mintova at the CNRS-Caen in France. His project revolves around the development of methodologies for the characterisation of metal-organic frameworks and zeolites for gas sensing applications. In his free time, Iago enjoys cooking and sports such as mountain biking, swimming and exercising in general. He also likes mechanical tinkering, such as working on cars and bikes.
