Founded in 1743, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) is a public research university based in Bavaria, southeast Germany. It is among the ten largest in the Germany overall and home to around 40,000 students, including more than 4,000 from overseas. FAU and particularly its Chemical Engineering department are highly ranked both nationally and internationally. FAU has secured its place as leading innovator in Germany and climbed up recently to 14th place among the world’s most innovative universities.
The ITN will take place at the Institute of Separation Science and Technology (TVT), which is part of FAU´s Chemical and Bioengineering department.
