WP5 will fabricate and characterize the MOF and zeolite-functionalized sensors based on changes in mass, refractive index, and dielectric constant upon guest adsorption.
WP4 will focus on resistive sensors and pre-concentrators. Metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) sensors are the most common miniature sensors for VOC measurements.
WP3 will evaluate the candidate sensor materials using single- and multicomponent adsorption measurements for the target VOCs, model interfering VOCs (acetone and ethanol) and water. To optimize the performance of
WP2 will synthesize the MOFs and zeolites for in-depth characterizations of their adsorption properties for sensor fabrication. The materials will be prepared in a form to facilitate their integration into
WP1 will use molecular modelling to screen for the most promising sensing materials. These approaches will start with the CoreMOF and IZA structural databases as the input, and will become
