University of Caen

The Université de Caen Normandie (UNICAEN) is a multi-disciplinary university founded in 1432 with a strong international dimension as it has partnership with 276 Universities in 50 countries. UNICAEN employs about 1300 researchers who are working in 43 research units [23 of them are joint research units affiliated to national research organisms such as CNRS, INSERM, INRA and CEA and 6 are joint research units with ENSICAEN (engineering school)]. In 2016, UNICAEN delivered 111 doctoral degrees among its 8 doctoral divisions. UNICAEN encourages collaboration in European projects and provides a strong administrative support to such projects, with dedicated staff on financial, legal, and administrative issues.
