Fourth SENNET Network-Wide Training Event in Chișinău, Moldova

The SENNET consortium convened in Chișinău, Moldova, from 13 to 16 October 2024 for its fourth Network-Wide Training Event, hosted by the Technical University of Moldova and its Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering. The event brought together researchers, supervisors and consortium partners for a programme focused on advanced sensor technologies, research collaboration and professional exchange.

The training agenda featured lectures on porous sensors, nanotechnology and semiconductor micro- and nano-engineering, delivered by leading experts from the Technical University of Moldova. Participants also took part in hands-on training sessions at the National Center for Materials Study and Testing, laboratory visits, and discussions on technical work packages and ongoing research activities. Recruited researchers presented updates on their scientific progress, while consortium members held Supervisory Board and coordination meetings to support the next stages of the project.

Alongside the scientific programme, attendees explored Moldovan culture through a guided city tour and a visit to the Cricova underground winery complex. The event concluded with visits to industrial partners ADD Grup and Steinel Electronic, as well as preparations for participation in the ECCO Conference, further strengthening links between academia, research and industry within the SENNET network.
